Aftercare Instructions

Proper aftercare is crucial for ensuring your tattoo heals well and looks its best. Follow these guidelines to care for your new tattoo:

Keep it Clean:

Gently wash your tattoo 2-3 times a day with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat it dry with a clean paper towel. Avoid using cloth towels to prevent bacteria from transferring to your skin.

Moisturize:

Apply a very thin layer of fragrance-free moisturizing ointment or lotion. Do this after you clean your tattoo and throughout the day, as needed, to keep your tattoo slightly moist but not soggy.

No Scratching or Picking

As your tattoo heals, it will begin to scab and peel. It’s important not to pick at the scabs or scratch the area. Let any scabs naturally fall off to avoid scarring and infection.

Avoid Sun Exposure:

Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight. Sunlight can fade your tattoo and impair the healing process. Once healed, use sunscreen of at least SPF 30 to protect your tattoo from UV rays.

Stay Dry:

No soaking your tattoo in water for at least 2 weeks. This includes baths, swimming pools, hot tubs, and natural bodies of water. Showering is fine, but try not to let the water stream directly hit your new tattoo.

Wear Appropriate Clothing:

Wear loose clothing over your tattoo to avoid irritation and to allow the tattoo to breathe. Avoid tight clothing that may adhere to the tattoo.

Be Alert:

Keep an eye on your tattoo for signs of infection, such as excessive redness, swelling, or a foul odor. If you experience any unusual symptoms, please contact us or seek medical advice immediately.
